More About Mwa

Hello there, stalkers. My name is Hannah and I am ...

A Christian - God is my true love and He comes first in everything in my life.
A writer - I started writing at age eleven and haven't stopped since.
A reader - I love books and I don't read nearly as much as I want to/should.
An E/INFP - The Myers Briggs Type Indicator has spoken (although it can't seem to decide if I'm extroverted or introverted ...)
A musician - I play piano (PRIDE AND PREJUDICE SOUNDTRACK FOR LIIIIIFE) and love singing.
A photographer - Sometimes ...

I like to write (some) poetry on occasion when I feel inspired.
I also love world building. It is probably my favorite part of writing, even though I believe characters are the most important part of a book. (Feel free to email me about that if you want to debate.) But I just love world building. I could talk about it all day. I have ten maps - no, eleven. Yeah, eleven maps (and I'm working on floor plans for a castle) for my current project, The Thief's Conspiracy, (which you can read a blurb for over in the What I'm Writing tab. But anyway, if you wanna talk world building ...

Journaling is also such fun. Not like, "Dear diary, today I ate sushi and peanuts and stalked Zac Efron," but the kind of journaling where you jot down random ideas, stalk observe people and strange things they do/little quirks about their appearance/words they use often/etc., develop and flesh out characters, write bits of poetry, (sometimes) and other things like that.

I am one of seven children (number three in the lineup) and I am also homeschooled.

And here are 3 random facts about me!

#1: I am a picky drinker. I am picky about my brands of bottled water, and if I'm drinking it from the tap it has to have ice in it (which makes me feel like a snob). I only like my coffee freshly brewed/made within the hour, and can't drink it reheated. But I will drink it just about any way you fix it: black, cream, cream and sugar, just sugar, creamer, hot cocoa packet, you name it. I'm not picky in that aspect. XP (Oh and I love mint mochas and carmel lattes. *dreamy sigh*)

#2: I like to name things (in case you haven't noticed). I named my blog, Stan. I've also named my phone (Data), my iPad, [Qwirtie (Yes, I know it's spelled weird. I'm a rebel.)], and my journal (the current one has clocks on it so I named him Bently). Our house is named Pickle (though i cannot take credit for that one) and our punching bag is named Dudley.

#3: I have to sleep with my feet uncovered. Like, I can't wear socks and the blankets can't be covering them. Just ... no. I also have to sleep with my stuffed rabbit, Thumper, that I've had and slept with every night since the age of three. Yes, I am such a child.

Well, I've blabbed enough about me. Tell me about you! Do you have anything in common with me? Any odd quirks? I'd love to hear about you. :D

  1. Stuff in common....well hmmm...........love God, love writing, poetry, reading, was homeschooled until freshman year....play piano and sing....journal...make maps.....wait, am I talking about me or you? I'd say we've got quite a lot in common.... xD :) That's lovely. An odd quirk: I spend a lot of time with my headphones in, but not listening to anything.

  3. I AGREE WITH JONATHAN; NAMING THIS IS SO MUCH FUNNN.

Wow, we have a lot in common! :) (Except the coffee thing... blech.) I am also an ENFP, though I found that I have a weird personality; I have traits from many of the Myers Briggs types.

Oh, I love piano! <3 'Tis beautiful and lovely and all around fun! And I love singing too. (My mom and voice teacher are trying to get me to sing in church. NO THANK YOU. Just the thought of people hearing my singing voice is... just no. IT'S DIFFERENT THEN SPEAKING OR PLAYING THE PIANO IN FRONT OF PEOPLE. It just is. :P)

And I love photography. :) Recently invested in a nice camera; I'm loving it!

I've TRIED keeping up a paper journal. It just doesn't work for me. Then I introduced myself to the magical powers of OneNote, and everything's worked fine since. :)

Excuse me? Say that again! YOU MADE ELEVEN MAPS!?! Um, wow. xD

I am a picky drinker as well. To me, water isn't water without ice. :P Ice makes it cold, and it doesn't taste very good unless it's cold. (At least in my case.)

Love your blog, Hannah; it's already in my top three favorites. :) You are hilarious and amazing and fun; so excited to see where God takes you with your writing. :D

    2. Ahhhhh this comment made me so happy! Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like Stan *beams* and I'm glad to hear I'm not the only picky drinker ... XP Is it weird that I'm the opposite and get more nervous playing piano than singing? I'm not sure why ... Also, I'm so sorry you don't like coffee. *sniffles* but i suppose we can still be friends ;) (and don't apologize about long comments! They're the besssst)

  4. Ooooo *just discovered Stan, like, today*
This is cool :) Love the name.
    Soo.. things in common:
Haha... My name is Hannah, also.
I love God. Naming things is awesome. I like journaling (Thought, I must admit, I'm very terrible)
I started writing at eleven also!
I get your struggle, girl, I am a picky drinker, too (MY WATER MUST BE DELICIOUS)
I'm a ESFP. Which is like, one letter difference. (It does tell me I have some ENFP traits, tho)
    I am homeschooled also.
I've got a really weird sleeping quirk: I cannot sleep with my hands on my stomach. Like, folded, unfolded. No. (I think it's partly because when I was younger I watched the 3rd Star Wars and saw Padme dead... With her hands folded on her stomach... 0_0)
    Nice to meet ya, »Hann«

Yes, thank you, PICKY DRINKERS FOR LIFE.
*pats consolingly* nothing like star wars to scar you for life. XP I was scarred by Star TREK at a young age, when two characters were tortured by these worm things. I don't really remember the details, just the horror XP I didn't develop any sleeping habits from that though, so I guess I got off lucky.
So happy you found Stan! We welcome you! *hurls coffee beans and confetti*

    2. I haven't seen Star Trek, but I can imagine the horror XD

I'm a Christian, a writer, a reader, I play the piano and sing, I like to write poetry (but only when inspiration hits me over the head with a sledgehammer, dontcha know), and I'm homeschooled!!!

AHHH YOU NAME STUFF TOOOO!! I name my hats. :) My collection of hats is called the Evil Hats Society and their leader is Trevor and all the other hats are Trevor's loyal subjects. It's not weird at all.

So yas. XD I just discovered your blog like...a few minutes ago and I really like it!! :)

    1. Oh my goodness I'm DYING *rolls around on floor* I AM AN AUTOMATIC FAN OF THIS HAT SOCIETY.

I'm the same with poetry. I have to be R E A L L Y inspired to write anything, and I usually write in free verse becuase I just feel too limited and bound by rhyming poetry. Although, I had to get over that for a book I wrote where the MC cast spells and they had to rhyme XP

I'm so glad you found Stan and like us YAY!!! Welcooommmmme! *hurls chocolate and confetti and coffee beans*

Yessss another iPad writer? My iPad's named Selene (like seriously, I was just going about with my business one day and her name just popped into my head like 'Hey, I'm your iPad, and my name is Selene!'

That's so cool you play the piano. I stopped playing it really early (around nine/ten) but stopped singing classes even earlier (six or seven I think). Right now I play the classical guitar :)

And classical guitar sounds fun! :) Nice to meet you! Thanks for hanging with Stan! <3

  11. Hello Ms. Hannah!!

I just wanted to let you know that I am unfollowing a lot of blogs and trying to keep life super simple because I've been getting a bit stressed and just feeling the pressure of having so many things to do. So I decided to only follow a few blogs and do a bunch of other things to keep life super simple. So I'm sorry I unfollowed your blog, but I wanted to let you know that it's just because I'm trying to keep life super simple and NOT because I don't like your blog!! I've actually be really encouraged by your posts and I'm sure I'll read more of them in the future. <3

Keep up the great work, girl!!

  12. Just found your nook in the blogging world through Sarah Margaret, who mentioned your Comparison post in her monthly wrap-up - totally followed!

Things in common? I'm a Christian and a homeschooler too!! And, um, I'm totally picky about my water too. (Are we weird??) I like ice in it, and most bottled water tastes really bad to me. (Except the expensive waters like Fiji or that water from Norway - I forgot the name...wait, is it Voss? I don't even think I'm spelling that right. But, man, doesn't that sound snobbish - the expensive water thing. XD) I write (trying my hand at my first historical fiction novel set in Victorian era America/Africa), I read a lot - currently collecting books to form a one-day-library <333 (BOOKS ARE AMAZING), and I'm an INFJ (though that's not in common with you, but I thought I'd mention it). I WANT to learn to play the piano - but I do sing. AND PHOTOGRAPHY. I want a camera verrrrrry badly. MUST. HAVE. ONE. XD And I really should try your method of journaling... I really, really should.

It was nice to meet you and "Stan"! <3 (I don't name things though. But, as you can see by the length of this comment, I CAN blab, so yes...)

  13. Hi Stan!
Just wanted to let you know that you are a huge asset to the blogosphere. I love your posts and am rather ashamed because I have been following for a while and am just now commenting for the first time. (At least the first time that I remember! XP)

I'm a Christian-writer-photographer-reader-pianist-singer-homeschool graduate! (And hopefully a blogger sometime soon, but I'm still learning the art of having enough time for all my interests and right now my focus has to be on my photography business. XD i do however occasionally post on a blog that is shared with my sister and one of my best friends...It's a little outdated though and needs some renovation.)

I don't name everything, but I do name some things. We have and essential oil diffuser named Phillip, be cause he requires constant 'filling-up.' XD

It was so nice to meet you, Stan, tell Hannah I said hello. ;)

    1. Aw, it's nice to meet you too, Sarah! Thank you for commenting! :D I totally feel you on the not enough time to consistently blog. I wanted to start a blog a long time ago, but it was the fear of not enough time that held me back. I guess I'd built up some ridiculous expectations of how long stuff would take, but when I started I found it didn't take nearly as long as I expected it would.

Also, I just love that you named your oil diffuser Phillip. That's so great XP

  16. Stan is such a beautiful blog!! (Also I lovvee the url.)
Ayeee we have so much in common! I'm also a Christian writer, reader, INFP, a musician (only I play the violin, but the piano is one of my favorite instruments and I hope to learn it one day), and a photographer. Sometimes. xD
JOURNALING yes. I fail so horribly at the "dear diary" thing. But I'm all for random observations and scattered poems/stories and just my randomness in general. People fascinate me, and I really love to flesh out my characters too. Especially backstories...most of my storyboards are just backstories...whoops. WORLD BUILDING IS AWESOME, AGREED, only I'm horrible at deciding on things. Too many ideaaasss. *distant wailing*
    Totally following Stan now!

Thank you for stopping by! :D (I used to play violin as a child, but I thought I was annoying everyone so I stopped and went to piano instead. I now wish I had done both. I'd love to be able to play violin.)

from a large family (oldest of 10, going on 11), homeschooled Christian (graduated a while ago), and love coffee! (but I am picky about coffee-no sugar!)

Odd quirks: I keep worms as pets, sing opera randomly wherever I am at, and read and speak a dead language- Latin!
